Felis et Canis is a de facto association consisting of volunteers who want to improve the living conditions of street dogs and shelter animals from home and abroad. In the first instance, financial help is very important. That is why we are constantly looking for people who want to sponsor or adopt animals from a distance. Of course Felis et Canis is also committed to find shelter or a permanent basket for animals in need. In many countries terrible things happen to animals. Help is desperately needed. For many animals life is a struggle. They live in miserable situations: lack of food, medicine, love and a decent shelter. These animals also have a right to a life in dignity. They must not be forgotten and that is why we want to be their voice. Our association works together with individual rescuers who seek help for street dogs, but also with a number of shelters. Our contacts are confronted with distressing scenes on a daily basis and they advise us what help is needed. We find it important to support other organizations that want to improve animal welfare.

Through cooperation, we can achieve much more and fight the injustice done to many animals. We try to define our projects clearly so that sponsors know what happens with their donation. This can for example be a contribution for food, medicines, a sterilization action, purchase of a trolley, etc... We want to report this regularly on the site and on our various facebook pages. All donations go directly to the shelters or rescuers. We hope you enjoy viewing our site, to which a lot will be added in the coming weeks, so come back again!

Animal Care & Rescue : Felis et Canis

Rescuer Giota has saved and cared for many stray dogs for years. Her savings all went to the animals. In the meantime, she has built up big debts. The economic situation in Greece is still very bad. Actually, Giota should look for better places to find work. This was also the plan, but she can't get it over her heart to leave the dogs behind. So Giota will continue to dedicate herself to the stray dogs in Xanthi. She can always count on our support. And of course, your help is still very much needed.
